Ursprünglich im Oktober 2000 veröffentlicht und jetzt auf schwarzem Vinyl in Standardstärke erhältlich. Schwarzmarktmusik ist das dritte Studioalbum von Placebo aus dem Jahr 2000. Schwarzmarktmusik enthält möglicherweise nichts so Eingängiges wie Ohne dich bin ich nichts Pure Morning , aber die dunklen Haken von Geschmack bei Männern, Special K und „Slave to the Wage“ mit seinem Pavement-Sample bleibt schon nach wenigen Durchläufen tief im Gedächtnis haften. Spite and Malice mit einem Gastauftritt des One Inch Punch-Rappers Justin Warfield ist eine überraschend gelungene Verbindung von Britpop und Hip-Hop, während das launische Dröhnen von Passiv-aggressiv zeigt die nachdenklichere Seite der Band.
